There are 42 Settlement Examinations of people from Milton Abbas in the Dorset History Centre at PW-MIL/OV/3/2/ 1 – 41. They are available to view on Microfilm MIC/R/1632. They are difficult to read.
They are a very important source of information for social history research. They contain a lot of information that is not otherwise available.
They are not available on Ancestry as far as we can tell. Let us know if you find them by contacting us.
