There is a technique used by family and local historians which would prove very useful for sorting out the Milton Abbas families and residents during the 18th century. This is a time when there are no censuses and the parish registers do not give parents names of the marriages, or deaths.
Family reconstitution has been used in large parishes with expanding population and many incomers so it should be straight forward with a small rural parish with a stable population.
